Shalom and Welcome!

We are delighted that you are interested in Temple Emeth and pleased that you are considering becoming part of the Emeth community. The congregation embraces each individual and each family. We would love to have you join us.

Temple Emeth has over 400 affiliated and member families, largely from Brookline, Newton, Boston and neighboring towns, but reaching as far as New York, Arizona and Florida. Our families include traditional and non-traditional couples and singles with and without children, interfaith couples, and empty nesters. All of our facilities are accessible for people with disabilities.

Our membership categories are:

  • Family
  • Individual
  • Under age 35
  • New members age 35 and over
  • Sustaining

Seats for High Holy Day services are part of the dues structure for all but Sustaining members. Click here for the current Membership Dues/Tuition Schedule. We are committed to the principle that financial circumstances should not be an obstacle to membership. If ability to pay is a concern, just let us know and a Temple Officer will contact you in confidence to make appropriate arrangements.

There are programs held throughout the year that are designed to welcome new members and engage them in a meaningful way. The scope includes:

  • Meeting our professional and lay leadership
  • Identifying opportunities for participating in and contributing to congregational activities
  • Integrating into congregational life

Membership is required for enrollment in grades 3-7 of our Religious School.

We invite you to join us at our religious services and programs as you make your decision. Our Executive Director, Cynthia Levitt, will answer any questions you have about membership and becoming part of our family. Cynthia can be reached by phone at 617-469-9400 or email.

We look forward to having you join the Temple Emeth community!
